Attacked !

I think I've been attacked by bugs.. literally, all sorta bugs.

Firstly, there's the bug giving me a sorethroat..woke up this morning to an uncomfortable pain in my throat. Have been sucking on Strepsils and downing litres of water, hope I get well soon.

Then, there's the lazy bug, I have been getting out of bed, later and later.. that's not like me at all, but with nothing to do in the morning, I tend to laze till 10am.. tsk tsk tsk..
The lazy bug's doing is a lil more serious, as I have almost not been out for a week, skipped my walk-in interview yesterday, and opted to write in. Great on the pocket, as I spend less money by staying home, but not good for my social life, as I sit here complaining bout being bored, but reluctant to get my bum out of the house !

The domestic bug has recently cling on to me too, I am almost a housewife, just that technically, I'm not a wife yet. My daily routine and concerns involves cleaning the house, and what to cook for dinner. Goshhhhh. I'm fully domesticated now !!

Thought got now? Should I go to the CS event tonite? But my throat hurts so bad, and I don't feel like I could chat and mingle..

Food for thoughts?

Went downstairs to snap a picture of my 'flower cookies' and caught my bro in action. One of his late nite quirks.. and this time dad was involved too.

Just another day..

I woke up groggily from the weirdest dream I've ever had, just to realise it was 12.30 in the afternoon. There goes half a day, this waking up late habit really has to go, it's not me at all.

Loiterred around all day, surfing jobstreet.com and applied for some jobs. Then it was lunch time. at 3.30pm? Oh dear..
Took the English Assessment Test on Jobstreet.com and scored 35/40. Darn, cos I scored 37 during the practice. See what unemployment does to your brain? It was then raining cats and dogs, I got into a baking mood. Baked some 'Highlander Cookies" from Nana's recipe... it turned out to be.. different. With the cookie cutters and a lil icing, it looked alrite.

Made dinner, washed up and was glued to the tube for once.. Watched Ghost Whisperer, Gossip Girls, and Timeless Season. Just another manic day.

Backdated: The Hunt for Crabs

It's been a while since the whole family went on a food hunt. The last outing was Beggars' Chicken @ Ijok, that must have been 2 years ago. Don't get me wrong, we make a trip back to Bentong at least once a month to have dinner with my beloved Grandparents, uncles, aunties etc etc. It's just that once in a while, we all drive to somewhere FAR for food. This time, the place was too close for comfort, it was a seafood restaurant in Sg Buloh. Dad suggested this place as the price was pretty reasonable for crabs. A picture speaks a thousand words, so here's a few thousand words.

Happy New Year 2010 !

It's the first day of the new decade ! I'm pretty sure many of you went out partying welcoming the new year. As for me , I stayed home last night. Taking a drive to Desa Park City just to realise there's no space to even stop my car, that doesn't count as going out really. So my countdown moment was spent watching the live telecast from The Curve on 8tv, and listening to the booming fireworks from Desa Park. Not too bad aye?

It's a cliche to ask " What's your New Year resolutions?", but we all still do it. I have mine drafted up here*finger pointing to my head*, and for now I rather look back and make a tick on last year's achievement!
2009 has been an eventful year, with a long list of happy ones, a few dramatic ones, and sadly a death in the family. The biggest adventure that took place last year, *can't believe I'm referring to it as last year already* was my trip down south. The 6 months spent in NZ was truly amazing, it will be a book of memories that will last for a long long time. It's where I learnt to be truly independant, make important choices, seen amazing places and crossed out quite a few things on My List *winks*. There's more on the list though. In that few months, I've met quite some interesting people too - friendly, sweet, drop dead gorgeous, mean, weird, boring.. you name it. There are some that made it to a special spot and will always stay there. xoxo to you all.

So, now, what's instore for the year ahead? Well, for starters, a job would be good. Hahaha. Then the other plans can fall in place. So to start off, Resolution No 1 - Get employed! And to achieve that, I'm logging off now, so that I could sign in on Jobstreet,Jenjobs, etc.............
