A lil progress

I'm still clouded by thoughts and emotions. I almost lost my tempered on them.. but I kept calm. The change in me lately is annoying myself, hate the mood swings, hate the procrastination. I need to get out. really need to.

Lost in transition

I suddenly find myself in a foul mood, have not been for a long long time. Familiar causes in the past are stress and frustration from work. Well I'm not working, so what could possibly cause it? I don't want to be the typical woman who blames it on PMS.( which I'm pretty sure it's not !) I blame it on the train of thoughts I've been having these 2 days, and the monotonous of my life, which I am not doing much to improve it. These thoughts keep trailing in my mind, but I feel like I have not singled them out or anything. I really need to decide, and then get it going.

I can't believe that I'm actually stressed out with too much time on my hand. *sobs*

The Holiday

It was a fairly long weekend for me, cos the fun began on Thursday already! As it was just the perfect timing for all of us - semester break, the mark of freedom after SPM, unemployment , it was the perfect time for a family trip! As for Dad, he took leave from work of course. With a discount voucher from Resorts World, we got ourselves a 3 D2N at Awana Kijal Terengganu for only RM338. That's a steal cos the normal room rate is RM300 per nite. Everyone was looking forward to the trip, even Daddy made a travel checklist! *grins*

We started out journey from KL at 7+ on Thursday morning, and only got to the resort at 3pm. On the way to Awana Kijal, we made a few pit stops. First stop was Bentong, we had breakfast there, and dropped by to see my grandparents. 2nd stop was Sg Lembing that used to be a busy mining town, it's more like a ghost town now. We also visited the Sg Lembing Museum - it was pretty interesting to look at the artifacts and equipments from the mining days.
We were all pretty exhausted by the time we got to Kijal. A good rest followed by a relaxing dip in the pool.

Day 2 was spent lounging in the resort, as it's the monsoon season now, we can't do any watersports, so we had a go on the ATV bikes ! It was awesomeeeee. Then it was a routine of swimming, sunbathing, eating, and more swimming ! We also had TimTams with tea in the room! Yum...
Day 3 was departure day, we left Awana Kijal with a heavy heart, it has been a great time with the family. We left Terengganu with lotsa keropok ikan and lekor of course. Had lunch at Karak before heading back to KL.
And then my next trip started from there, I went down to Seremban to meet the ji muis and also for a wedding photoshoot. It has been a great time catching up with them, and having pillow talk in Seremban Inn was fun! Am looking forward to the next trip with the girls.

Spaghetti Grill @Mid Valley

Finally managed to see Ms Pei Kei and Yi Ling on the same day. Started the catching up session with a movie. We watched Did you hear about the Morgans?, it was a good watch, have always like Mr Grant and SJP, and having both of them in a movie is a bonus!

As I was craving for pasta, we decided to give Spaghetti Grill a try. Their set lunch was priced at RM9.95. For a main course and a bottomless drink, I think it's a fairly good price. The food was served within 15 minutes, presentation was lovely, and the taste? I would rate it as fairly acceptable. I ordered the Aglio Olio, not the best I've had, it was a lil cold, but it tasted quite alrite.

Behold the pictures of the meal.

The Fried Calamari was quite tasty, and came with a lovely salsa dip. -RM24.95

Played tourist for the day

It started out with me being a tour guide for a friend from Canada. The plans included a visit to Petronas Skybridge, a walk around the city and some eating out. Thanks to KTM, which in my opinion, stands for Kurang Tepat Masa, I only got down to town at 11am! The tickets to Skybridge would have been long gone. And, the plan to eat lotsa Malaysian food was also a lil farfetched as Sinan was vegetarian. Hrmm... that leaves us with not much choices now.

Then I played tourist, we walked to Bukit Nanas Forest Reserve, and did a walk around the nature trail. We were lucky to jump in the guided walk, so we had a pretty informative walk. After that it was Chinatown, in search of a new hostel, Dataran Merdeka, and Masjid Jamek. In between, we made a pit stop at KL Library, just to check it out and cool down of course :P. Despite the dark clouds, it was a mighty hot day !

We then grabbed a bite in Petaling St, before we said goodbye. I don't think I was a pretty good guide, but I did show him quite a bit of local delicacies. Among the new food that Sinan tried was tau fu fa, ciku, jambu air and herbal tea. I hope he'll have many more new experiences to come !
